Set among rolling hills, forests, and ponds, Riverside cemetery, established in 1855, was one of the first in the United States to be laid out with a park-like setting. As a result, Riverside has been listed on the National Register of Historic Places. The paths, ponds, hillsides and woods provide visitors with beautiful and memorable scenery, and the monuments and headstones honor some of the most illustrious of Oswego’s families.
The cemetery is home to Page Memorial Chapel adorned with windows produced in the Louis B. Comfort Tiffany Studios in New York City.
