The Oswego County Historical Society will present the 29th annual “Not So Silent Auction” on Friday, April 8th 2016 from 6:00 to 8:30 pm at the Lake Ontario Event and Conference Center, 26 East First Street in Oswego.
The fundraiser has both silent and live auctions, featuring many items including fine antiques, collectibles and gift certificates. There will also be a special table offering themed filled baskets on which chances will be offered. A delicious food buffet and a cash bar will be provided to participants. This year’s event will also provide antique appraisals by appraiser Gerald Petro of Iroquois Auctions. The first appraisal will be free with the auction. Additional appraisals after the first free one will be $5.00 each.
The event is open to all and attendees are encouraged to become members of the organization as a way to help support the ongoing mission of preserving the past for the future. Tickets will be available for purchase in advance and at the door the day of the event.
Anyone interested in becoming a sponsor, purchase tickets in advance or general information can contact the museum at 343-1342 or call co-chair Jennifer Mays at 561-0223.
